Lead Web Developer - Paid Summer Internship

  • Internship
  • Wymeswold (Leicestershire)

Job description

We’re on the lookout for an A-team Web developer to join our exemplary 7 person team. You’ll develop our website from scratch and have full ownership of its code. We’re a 3 year-old startup building an app called inapps; we’ve already got an iOS app, Android app is in development and now we need to bring our website up to speed. We have much bigger web development plans, but this internship is about the first step and to find someone great who can join out team beyond this internship.

Our vision is an incredibly visual and simple place for businesses to:

- sell their lifestyle experiences and products in their own inapps which live in our app (like departments in a high end department store)
- allow their clients interact with each other and the business with a Whatsapp-like chat experience
update their content/stories, i.e. website, Instagram, Facebook, from one place: their inapp

We’re a very passionate team, so much so that we’ve come very far working in our spare time. This also has the advantage that we are forced to think very carefully about our product design and the customers we are working with. To give you a flavour of what we’re striving to create, check out our website (we know it needs a lot of work; that’s why we’re hiring you!) and our iOS app:

- simpleinapps.com
- https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/simplei … 02776?mt=8

We stand for quality over deadlines; attention to detail over iterating wildly, and being friendly over competitive behaviour.

This internship will be limited to developing 2 iterations of our website. Everyone who will buy an inapp on our app inapps will have first checked out our website: it’s critical to our success. You’ll have loads of support from our Marketing and Design meastroes; for the first iteration, you’ll be implementing their content/design in a hand-coded static website. Our team is currently based in London, Munich, Dusseldorf and Nigeria, so we don’t really care where you are based as long as you love building websites for people. We also don’t care much when you work (full time is not necessary) as long as you make time for the odd team call. The internship will be for about 3-4 weeks and for that we’ll pay £400 and hopefully we will further integrate you into our team afterwards.

Make every future a success.
