Job description
Vehicle car inspection engineer for our corporate client Swansea and Llantrisant
We are looking for motivated and experienced technician to join our clients Inspection team
using your skills and expertise to carry out inspections, vehicles
based at dealership.
so you will need to be independent, driven and able to diagnose common vehicle faults.
As well as carrying out checks you will be required to report findings clearly and
accurately; ensuring the customer fully understands the issues identified.
You will also be providing advice and assistance within own area of competence and
directing customers to other specialist departments when necessary, as well as
promoting the company and its services by projecting an efficient and professional image at all
times.
You will be expected to keep up to date with technological and safety developments as
they affect the diagnosis and repair of motor vehicles; including attending manufacturer
courses some of which may be residential.
Accurate records must be kept of all tasks and inspections, and therefore you will be
expected to maintain all paperwork necessary in accordance with current procedures.
All tools and equipment will be provided, however you will be responsible for maintaining
all equipment to a high standard and remaining compliant
health and safety instructions.
What you need?
• NVQ 3 level of qualification in motor vehicle systems, or equivalent
• A good understanding of electronic equipment and the ability to keep up to date
with changes in motor industry related technology
• A good standard of literacy and numeracy
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent timekeeping skills
• Good customer service skills and the ability to act as a brand ambassador
driving licence with a maximum of 6 points.
Previous car inspection, MOT or appraisal work would be beneficial, although not essential.
Successful candidates will be required to attend a residential training period of up to 2
weeks.
