Job description

Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software. 

Position Overview:
This position is for a Software Engineer to join our Managed Environment Team. This team provides Teamcenter/Active Workspace environments for developing and testing the integration between NX and Teamcenter. The role primarily involves working with multiple development and QA groups to gather requirements. Then using the information to formulate and implement the most efficient solution to meet everyone’s needs in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking and analytical skills, be curious, have a desire to understand complex systems, be able to manage numerous rapidly shifting priorities from multiple sources, and be able to simultaneously work independently and as a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interact with developers and QA to determine Teamcenter/Active Workspace environment needs for testing and development.
  • Develop solutions that satisfy the current requirements of multiple requests and are sustainable going forward.
  • Install, patch, and upgrade Teamcenter/Active Workspace environments.
  • Implement Teamcenter/Active Workspace customizations.
  • Provide technical support to developers and QA.
  • Troubleshoot and report issues encountered.
  • Write internal documentation.
  • Automate frequent tasks.
  • Administer and maintain an internal cloud.

Required Core Skills:
  • 5-10 years of Teamcenter install/administration experience
  • Active Workspace install/administration experience
  • Deployment Center experience
  • Understanding of basic Teamcenter architecture
  • Scripting/programming skills
  • Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office products
