Job description
Scotland’s biggest music festival is on the move . . . and you could be joining us at the new venue Strathallan Castle for this year’s T in the Park.
Showsec are looking for SIA staff to play important roles in our festival operations team for one of the highlights of the Scottish music calendar.
T in the Park takes place from July 10th-12th when the 19th century castle and its grounds provide a stunning backdrop for this momentous occasion.
As one of the United Kingdom’s leading providers of crowd management and event security in the music festival world, Showsec deliver their specialist services at this festival and indeed many others throughout the United Kingdom.
So, as well as T in the Park, you could also form part of our operational team for many other such large-scale events throughout the summer.
Download, Wireless, Creamfields, V Festival, Camp Bestival and Bestival feature among those major occasions, but there are also many smaller festivals too.

Festival Event Staff (SIA)
Our SIA staff play a crucial role in helping to ensure that the festival experience is a memorable one for all visitors to the venue.
Safety and security are of paramount importance in dealing with the public, but so too is providing a high level of customer service.
As an essential part of any festival safety management team, you will be acting as the eyes and ears for those running the festival.
At all times, SIA staff should be aware of and ensure the care, comfort and well-being of all categories of spectators.
The hours of work available are varied and flexible.
Those successful candidates who join the Showsec team will be given all the appropriate training to fulfil their duties to a high standard.

Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Screening a person’s suitability to enter the event or venue
- Responding to incidents within crowds, queues or the audience to control behaviour which is antisocial, undesirable or likely to result in harm to others
- Providing a security presence to prevent and detect crime within a designated area
- Guarding a property and/or equipment in site during the setup and breaking down of, for example, an event or exhibition
- Patrolling the perimeter of an event to prevent unauthorised entry gained by individuals
