The Shimmy Lingerie Video Project (SLVP) is building the largest collection of lingerie catwalk videos in Europe in support of the Lingerie Football League and their fight for gender equality. We are inviting as many premium lingerie, swimwear & activewear brands as possible to take part in the Shimmy Lingerie Video Project, absolutely free of charge. All we ask is that brands send samples of current styles to our photography studio. In return brands will receive high quality videos that can be embedded on websites and social media. Brands will be given the opportunity to make their video content ‘shoppable’.

More than 60 international labels, from Panache to DKNY, have pledged their support for the new organisation, donating products to the Shimmy Video Lingerie project.

Shoppable Video:

Millenial customers are growing up in a rich-media driven world, a good chunk of their education comes increasingly from video and digital channels. Video channels such as YouTube provide so much more than entertainment in the form of funny cat videos. Video channels also provide, "how to" and educational content. Video is the most informative media online - it's not a gigantic leap to understand that one day soon video will be the shopping channel of choice. Shoppable video gives time-pressed, tech savvy millennial consumers a shortcut to the shops.

Internship Responsibilities:

Shimmy's front-end web developer is responsible for implementing visual and interactive elements that users engage with through their web browser when using a web application. You will be fully supported by Shimmys Coder-in-Chief, an accomplished IOS developer with blue chip experience building mobile apps for Ford and RBS, who is responsible for server-side application logic and integration of your work. Collaboratively, you will help build and maintain the largest online lingerie shoppable video platform in Europe.

As Shimmy’s front-end web developer, your key roles are:
Collecting and refining data into JSON format;
Writing simple front end codes to polish the website, using HTML, CSS and/or Javascript.

As Shimmy’s front-end web developer, you will:
Be an enthusiastic, energetic and effervescence person;
Be passionate about cutting edge technology of I.T.;
Have an enthusiastic and desirable eagerness to learn coding;
Engaging in a good understanding of JSON data structure;
Be able to, or have some knowledge, of coding using as least one of these programming language: HTML, CSS, Javascript, and PHP. Being familiar with the Object Orient Programming will be a big bonus, although not necessary.
