Job Description

Shell Rheinland Refinery is the largest German refinery. It processes more than 15 million tons of crude oil every year. Almost 3,000 employees in the Cologne-Godorf and Wesseling plants produce around ten percent of Germany's total diesel and petrol consumption, around 15 percent of its kerosene consumption and products for the chemical industry.

The Project Portfolio Engineer position is responsible for the analysis of the project portfolio with the aim to support the allocation and the fulfilment of the Capex/Revex latest estimate and Capex/Revex phasing. Furthermore it supports the project managers and production units concerning the Shell Group approval process for Capex investment as well as requesting setting WBS-structure and acts as Capex Focal Point. This includes also generation of management reports. Furthermore the position should manage and control VOWDand scope changes within the different project phases and controls the budget set-up after Capex investment has been approved.

Accountabilities:

·  Support allocation and fulfilment of Capex/Revex Latest Estimate and Phasing and Value of Work Done (VOWD)-tracking
·  Communicate the project progress and specific issues to the Site Leadership Team
·  Input to Site Value Growth Plan for Asset Integrity/Maintain Margin
·  Acting/support as Technical Focal Point to Finance for Ether-Updates
·  Process-Admin for Group Investment Proposals (large projects) and Small/medium Capital Investment Approval Process (routing of necessary approvals)
·  Capex Focal Point (bi-monthly report of all projects)
·  Quarterly collection and systematic analysis of Project Key Performance Indicators (KPI´s)
·  Asset Master Planning:

·  supports Site Process Owner and focal point
·  data administration and management; especially for growth projects
·  analyse data and Asset Master Plan-KPIs
·  training and coaching of user
·  first contact for issues (DocData, interfaces)
·  quarterly reviews and generating of management-reports

Desired profile

Requirements

·  Bachelor or Master in Engineering or Economics

·  Special knowledge in MS-Office, GSAP and databases

·  Good understanding of project management

·  Very good communication skills.

·  Fluent in English and German
