Job Description

The C-Store Account Manager will be responsible for driving aggressive growth, working as part of a team on the C-Store & Grocery business. Proactively engage and manage all aspects of the Shell Lubricant Sales objectives. Demonstrate collaborative leadership to a cross functional team of internal/external stakeholders to deliver growth objectives for the business. Responsible for developing and maintaining close business relationships among your assigned region and contacts within the customer environment.

This position offers an experienced sales person to directly lead into deeper account management and requires a high level professional, who is a forward thinker, structured, has a strategic mind-set, strong communication and financial skills, can achieve results through others, who is target orientated with strong initiative, can manage complex situations, and has a resilient attitude.
As C-Store AM you will be responsible for growing Shell branded volume and profit by building solid customer partnerships at the local level. As well, you will have responsibilities towards growing premium product lubricant share of Shell brands thru the C-Store Channel. Specialized tactics include, training of customer employees, creation & activation of marketing activities, cross-selling, up-selling, and new customer conversion to Shell's lubricants program.

You will be working closely with a cross-functional team of internal and external professionals to accomplish objectives. This position requires a pro-active mind-set and the ability to meet targets with limited local supervision, and the ability to communicate results effectively with your supervisor and key internal stakeholders on a consistent basis.

Accountabilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Meet & exceed volume & C3 plan targetsassigned to your customers by driving sales growth through professional account management, strong communication skills and executing the sales plan for your region and assigned stakeholders.

Direct report to Retail Indirect Channel Manager.Bring a strong enterprise-first mentality to manage channel conflict across a wide array of competing customers, helping to maximize Shell's C3 and volume.

Actively hunt new business and customer opportunities within the sector. Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and aggressively move them to completion.

Demonstrate collaborative leadership by building a strong cross-functional team to support customers. Build internal advocates for our business and maximize assets available.Challenge internal stakeholders to explore new opportunities aligned with channel growth objectives.Strong teamwork and enterprise first mentality will be essential in this role.

Own all aspects of account management required responsibilities including: customer relationship-building, co-developing credible 3-5 year account plans, industry expertise/subject matter expert, competitor monitoring, creative problem-solving, pricing, PLM, forecasting, business analysis, etc.

Develop a strong understanding of customer's supply chain and replenishment groups in order to deliver a more efficient model. Develop a close working relationship with LSC stakeholders, integrating IBV into daily business practice.

Effectively plan SD&A accruals and spending that will deliver the volume and C3 to meet the business targets. Coordinate the activities around and assist in Forecasting and Planning with Finance, Supply Chain, CPFR, and Demand Planning in understanding the business

Drive Marketing initiatives that align with customer policies and practices. Perform financial analysis for promotional investments within MOA guidelines. Ensure these events align with Shell Marketing guidance and lead to C3 and volume growth.

Selling value on every call through strong financial selling skills, coupled with strong inter-personal skills is the key to success in this role.

Desired profile

Requirements

·  Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
·  Bachelor's degree; MBA preferred.
·  Minimum three (3) years of sales, marketing or relatable experience.
·  Experience managing a large or complex business with a proven track record for superior results. Preferred sales background and appropriate commercial skill sets
·  Ability to handle ambiguity and complexity with strong analytical focus
·  Ability to sell at all levels of the organization, both externally and internally. Able to work with and engage all cross-functional support groups to meet Customer needs
·  Proven record for delivering results
·  Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
