As SGS's Head of Global Network services, you will report to SGS's Head of Infrastructure Services within SGS's IT department.

In this highly strategic position you will be responsible for:

Reviewing and redefining SGS's Global Network strategy and ensure it is coherent with respect to SGS's IT Strategy.
Evaluate existing global transformation pilot projects and oversee the global implementation of network transformation projects across SGS. Such transformation projects include, but are not limited to, the deployment of technologies such as SD-WAN and Z-Scaler across more than 1800 SGS sites.
Ensure that local country networks are adequately connected to the global SGS network and that SGS network managers have regular access to the global network provider to ensure compatibility issues are prevented/solved in a timely manner.
Manage SGS's distributed network center of excellence and SGS's network operations center.
Manage relationships with suppliers and ensure the highest level of service quality.
Collaborate with stakeholders within SGS (including purchasing and computer security teams) as well as representatives from SGS businesses to ensure their needs are met.
Manage and scale the IT Network budget (> 10 Million € per year) and ensure the cost is flawlessly recharged to SGS affiliates.

More specifically you will:

Design SGS's global network infrastructure, including Cloud integration.
Act as the subject matter expert on network technologies.
Pilot network transformation projects.
Manage communication with suppliers, Affiliates and teams.
Collaborate with SGS purchasing to ensure highly advantageous contractual partnerships for SGS.
Manage the SGS distributed virtual Network Team and the SGS Network Operation Center located in Manila.
Optimize operational procedures and improve quality of service.
Coordinate with various departments to ensure adequate processes are in place. (particularly with IT Security).
Provide operational support to global Infrastructure teams (Cloud, O365, Workplace, ERP, Telephony, Security, IAM)
Report on network service quality and insure maximum transparency with SGS affiliates.
Support SGS Regions and Businesses for their network related issues.
Review SGS's existing network governance model

The ideal candidate should have significant experience of managing global netwroks in large scale distributed mulitnational companies.

More particularly we expect the ideal candidate to have:

First hand technical operational knowledge of global networks.
A Graduate level in Computer Science.
Experience in large scale SD-WAN implementation projects.
Experience in managing distributed or remote teams and of working with different cultures.
Fluent in English.
Strong knowledge of SD-WAN (Riverbed) and Z-scaler.
