Customer Service Engineer - Heathrow Airport

Job description

ServiceTec currently has an immediate opening for a permanent Customer Service Engineer to work alongside our team at the UK’s busiest airport, London Heathrow. In this role you will be supporting mission critical systems together with a wide variety of equipment including Common Use Systems, Airline and Ground Handler desktop and check-in systems, and Airline Self Service kiosks.

Individuals must therefore have a technical mind and technical knowledge and have had first class experience of dealing with a variety of customers in a fast paced and pressurised environment.

Candidates are required to meet the following criteria:-

  • Must have a good proven technical knowledge of PC/Printer Hardware and Software.
  • Previous Customer Service experience, ideally in an I.T or hardware support role.
  • Full UK Manual driving licence for driving airside and access to your own transport/24hr public transport to Heathrow Airport.

The ideal candidate for this position will have an A+ or equivalent certification. Additional college and/or technical training is also advantageous.

This position will involve working a 4 on, 4 off rotating shift pattern which will include evenings/weekends/bank holidays and will cover an average of 37.5 hours per week. There will also be an element of night working on a rota basis (for which night shift payments are made).

Offers of employment will be dependent on passing a 6 month probationary period and be subject to satisfactory Aviation Security Clearance (including Criminal Record Checks and 5 year referencing check) in order to obtain your Airside pass. All applicants will be required to undergo an Airside Driver Medical (including Drug and Alcohol testing) and an Airside Driving test.
