Garment Technologist Intern and Fit Model

Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Garment Technologist Intern and fit model to join our dynamic product development team with an opportunity to develop into a permanent position after 6 months.

Responsibilities will include:

- Reporting into Garment Tech and Product Developer
- Measuring samples and inputting into spec sheets
- Organising fabric lab dips, bulk approvals and test report records
- Organising and carrying out AQL of production arriving in warehouse in line with deliveries
- To personally wear trial new samples and act as fit model during weekly fittings
- Carrying out wash tests and collecting information following product wearer trials of new products
- Logging and processing new samples and returned goods to relevant team members
- Gathering and summarising information on faulty stock from store staff, customer care and warehouse and relaying information to the tech team and the relevant factory
- General day-to-day administration

Desired profile

A degree in fashion/textile
An academic understanding of fabrics and fibres
Ideally have knowledge of pattern cutting and garment manufacture
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
Meticulous attention to detail
Good communication skills and an approachable and friendly manner
Experience as a fit model is a benefit, but not essential
