Head of Bid Management and Proposals

Up to £45,000 Basic

The Role:

Responsible for the management of all bids from qualification through to post contract and handover to the Operations team. Responsible for the Bid Managers and bid team day to day activity including; training and on-going development to ensure best practice and operational excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities :

•              Accountable for the bid process, governance and adherence through stake holder engagement and team management.

•              Responsible for streamlining and aligning the bidding process across the differing offers and locations.

•              Responsible for driving process improvement and greater alignment with other functions.

•              Accountable for the completion of compelling, high quality, on time, in full bids and offers.

•              Accountable for ensuring full compliance with all Strategies in the bid process, and it's link to “Prospect Manager”.

•              Achieve improvement in our overall win ratio on bids through the production of commercially compelling proposals.

•              Highly effective management of timelines through creation of project plans, tracking progress against milestones, and status reporting for major or complex tenders.

•              Managing bid approval process, chairing approval meetings and preparation of board papers.

•              Developing bid strategy and / or business models.

•              Accountable for effective handover to the project/post-sales team.

Essential Skills Required:

•              Education to degree level or equivalent industry experience.

•              A minimum of 5 years’ experience gained within a Bid management position or similar.

•              An in depth understanding of the Electronic Security Systems Market.

•              Strong leadership/people skills.

•              Ability to motivate and develop people.
