In under 3 years we have established ourselves as the leading film and music video platform in the quality UK hip hop market, through hard work and recognition of talent. To date the youtube channel has 8,000+ subscribers and reached 3 million views, shooting in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Norway, Spain and Switzerland… as well as filming in the US with legendary acts Edo. G and Chali 2Na (Jurassic 5). The brand is growing at a solid rate of over 300 new subscribers per month, and we're eager to continue this pace and expand our audience, and diversify our content artistically and geographically, without compromising quality. We're open to applicants from anywhere in the world, you do not need to be based in the UK.

Prior to setting up Sektion Red, I set out a long term goal of shooting a video with who I saw as the most respected rapper in the country, we'll call him rapper X, at the time I was shooting nightclub promotion videos to get by and not very artistically satisfied! X was performing in Newcastle and I had been booked by the promoter to film the event, after the performance I struck up a conversation with X's entourage in the club and offered a member of the team a free video, a few weeks later I was off to London to shoot, and brought my filmmaker friends with me, the finished video was so well received that X wanted me to work on his next 2 videos. This was 5 music videos deep into my career, what was once a long term goal had been realised in a matter of months. Four years and four million views later, I still have artists quote those two videos as a reason for wanting to collaborate with me.

What I'm getting at is this; in this industry with the right initiative and effort something that may seem very distant now, is actually feasible. Not to say that every intern will be successful, we understand the process of starting with very little and achieving a lot, and how to replicate it, we are looking for raw enthusiasm and passion, to grow within the business and develop a skill set and confidence, eventually with you leading projects from conception to delivery.

You will learn by doing, not by making tea and coffee. We are a demanding company and want to find and work with the most driven individuals, productive work you put in will be rewarded tenfold with career development and life experiences you will not find from a traditional media company. Presenting a very specific job description would be naive of us and misleading to you the candidates, the reality is that new opportunities present themselves on a daily basis; we are open to that and you will need to be too. Your tasks and responsibilities will vary and over time we'll establish between ourselves your strengths and weaknesses, and tailor your position accordingly.
