Permanent / Full time - Watford

£16,000 - £20,000 (DOE)

This is a great opportunity for graduates who are looking to develop a career in design and marketing, within a fast moving industry.

We are seeking dedicated, hard working, and talented designers who are looking to either begin a career in design & marketing, or for more experienced candidates who are looking for a new challenge.

The role is made up of various creative areas of design which you may be involved in depending on your skills and experience. However the basic framework of this position will consist primarily of working with product images and will therefore require someone who is experienced with Photoshop, with a working knowledge of Indesign and Illustrator.

Main duties will include:

  • Editing and manipulation of images to catalogue and promote new product lines
  • Designing or updating packaging artwork
  • Assisting with the development of existing brands
  • Maintaining and updating information on the company websites as well as social media platforms and other databases.
  • Working alongside other departments to create marketing campaigns for brands, products and offers
  • Other ad hoc duties as required.

To be considered for the position, you must:

  • Be qualified to degree level in a Graphic Design based discipline. AND / OR have a minimum of two or more years of previous experience in a related role
  • An excellent knowledge base and experience of the Adobe Photoshop (the interview process will include a skill based assessment)
  • A basic understanding and working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, In-Design, After Effects (preferred)
  • Any other creative skills would be welcome
  • A creative flair for design with the ability to work with your initiative to produce good quality work
  • Good language skills and a good eye for detail and accuracy as the role will involve creating and proofreading copy for marketing communications
  • A good work ethic - this includes using initiative in your approach to work, the ability to take on board constructive criticism, good team working skills as well as being organised and able to work unsupervised when required
  • An interest and passion for new technology as product knowledge is necessary to every aspect of the role, to ensure material created is always relevant.
