Leading application design and implementation, the Java Developer will work within an agile environment where responsibility is given for delivery of assigned work projects.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Practical experience in software development
  • Strong java development skills
  • Ability to work in a highly-collaborative Agile team and on own initiative
  • Strong analytical and verbal communication skills


Minimum Criteria

  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Excellent technical knowledge in Java/J2EE web applications
  • Experience in Java Web frameworks (e.g. Spring/Spring Web Flow)
  • Experience in Web Application Servers (e.g. Tomcat or WebSphere),
  • Integrating to, and exposing services to 3rd party systems via Web Services
  • Experience of relational database technologies and SQL
  • Ability to work in a highly-collaborative Agile team and on own initiative
  • Strong analytical and verbal communication skills


Desired Skills

  • Experience with Web Content management systems (e.g. Alterian)
  • Experience of a continuous deployment environment, with source control and managed
  • Experience with working in Agile Development technique
