Sr. Validation and Certification Engineer – Digital Buildings

Job description

We are seeking a skilled Validation and Certification Leader with expertise in IoT and Cloud-based
systems tailored for small and medium commercial buildings. As a key member of our team, you will
play a pivotal role in ensuring the validation and certification of our innovative solutions, contributing to
their reliability, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Validation Strategy:
- Develop and execute a robust validation strategy for IoT and Cloud-based systems catering to small
and medium commercial buildings.
- Define and implement validation processes to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory
requirements.
2. Certification Planning and Execution:
- Lead the planning and execution of certification efforts, collaborating with regulatory bodies and
industry organizations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant certifications and standards for commercial building solutions.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with product managers, design engineers, and architects to understand system
requirements and design effective validation and certification approaches.
- Work with development teams to address validation findings and ensure compliance throughout the
product lifecycle.
4. IoT and Cloud Expertise:
- Apply specialized knowledge in IoT and Cloud technologies to validate end-to-end system
functionality, security, and performance.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and evolving certification requirements in the Edge, IoT and Cloud
domains.
5. Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality practices to ensure that validated solutions meet the highest
standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance validation and certification processes.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
- Generate comprehensive reports documenting validation and certification processes, outcomes, and
compliance status.
- Maintain detailed documentation to support certification audits and inquiries.
7. Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about regulatory changes and updates relevant to commercial building products.

- Ensure proactive compliance with emerging standards and regulations.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

1. Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related
technical field.
2. Experience:
- Proven experience in a leadership role focused on validation and certification, particularly in the IoT
and Cloud space.
- Background in developing solutions for small and medium commercial buildings is highly desirable.
3. Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of IoT technologies, Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and relevant protocols.
- Familiarity with certification processes and requirements for commercial building solutions / control
systems
4. Leadership Abilities:
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to lead a validation and certification team
effectively.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external certification bodies.
5. Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with
technical and non-technical stakeholders.
