Job description
The candidate will play the role of the ServiceNow Platform ITOM Developer in the tooling team of the Global service desk organization of Schneider Electric. This position requires the candidate to be an expert in ServiceNow design and development principles that enables them to work with external development partners and key stakeholders, following best practices. The candidate will join an existing team, working to support a global enterprise application delivering quality solutions. They will help define, configure, and develop the IT operation management module. Focusing on Discovery and Service Mapping. In addition, the candidate will support the run and delivery of HRSM, ITSM, & CSM within the Schneider Electric ServiceNow Instance.
· Collaborate with Schneider Electric’s ServiceNow team, as well as Infrastructure managers to build a successful and robust CMDB within Schneider Electric
· Participate in bi-weekly Sprints to enrich Schneider Electric’s ServiceNow Instance
· Defines & builds custom Patterns and Probes to successfully discovery and create Service map for enriching Schneider Electric’s CMDB
· Help with critical technical documentation for existing ITOM Integrations, implementations, & project work
· Provide technical leadership and mentoring, and perform peer code reviews
· Create/maintain API & data integration processes between ServiceNow and other services
· Work with Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) technologies in conjunction with ServiceNow
· Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of the CMDB
· Collaborate with ServiceNow Support concerning technical issues and aspects within ServiceNow
· Utilizing plug-ins for integrations and app development from ServiceNow application store and communities
· Strong experience in areas of Discovery and Orchestration supporting CMDB/Asset management initiatives, hands on experience with various data discovery sources like ITOM or SCCM
· Proven experience in understanding & capturing business requirements, streamlining complex business / IT processes, and help manage / deploy ServiceNow capabilities / features in an agile manner
· Coach and oversee the activities of Vendor resources on as-needed basis for project work
· Drives the creation of relevant and meaningful solution architectures, re-usable workflows, and other deliverables that enables the overall business thus driving better performance
· Experience with setting standards for Mid server deployment and usage
· Experience with platform performance audits and remediation
Desired profile
Qualifications :
· Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
· 6+ years of hands on development experience on ServiceNow platform overall
· 2+ years of hands on development & configuration on the ServiceNow Service Portal
· Should have worked on at least 1 end to end implementation of ITOM
· Should have experience with Discovery, Service Mapping and one other module of ServiceNow, CSM, ITSM, or HRSM module of ServiceNow
