As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:
Develop and maintain test systems to increase efficiency in testing products
Develop and update engineering documents such as requirements specifications and test procedures.
Write test protocols and reports, conduct various testing, collect and analyze data and trends.
Purchase hardware for use with test system.
Train team members in using test systems created.
Troubleshoot test systems when performance is not as expected.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
This position requires the following skills and attributes:
6+ years automated electronic test development experience required, BSEE Engineering Degree preferred.
6+ years of LabVIEW programming.
2+ years of NI TestStand programming
Experience using LabVIEW to control hardware and store gathered data.
Ability to understand, analyze and troubleshoot complex analog and digital electronic systems.
Ability to develop VI's and architecture for future development and maintenance.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Ability to make cost/benefit/schedule decisions.
The following skills and attributes are preferred:
Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) or equivalent.
Certified TestStand Developer (CTD) or equivalent.
Experience with development and release of test equipment for industrial safety control systems, including equipment verification and validation procedures.
Experience with schematic design and capture software (ORCAD).
Experience with assembly of hardware (e.g. PCBAs) and electronic cable component systems and associated processes.
Experience with “bed of nails” style electrical test fixtures.
Experience with code maintenance.
