Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative team. The successful
candidate will play a crucial role in end-to-end product development, with a focus on plastics, industrial
design principles, and embedded platforms. Proficiency in 3D modeling tools, particularly Creo, and
hands-on experience with simulation concepts are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will also
bring expertise in tooling processes and a deep understanding of manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead the mechanical design process for end-to-end product development, incorporating plastics and
industrial design principles.
2. Utilize 3D modeling tools, particularly Creo, to create detailed and precise designs.
3. Apply simulation concepts to validate and optimize mechanical designs for performance and
reliability.
4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers and embedded
platform engineers.
5. Ensure designs align with tooling processes, considering manufacturability and scalability.
6. Provide hands-on expertise in prototype development and testing, iterating designs as needed.
7. Work closely with SE Industrial Design teams and end users to optimize usability and reliability
8. Contribute to design reviews, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and manufacturing processes to enhance design
capabilities.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Proven experience in mechanical design with a focus on plastics, industrial design, and embedded
platforms.
3. Solid hands-on experience with 3D modeling tools, particularly Creo/Solidworks.
4. Proficiency in applying simulation concepts to optimize mechanical designs.
5. Expertise in the tooling process, ensuring designs align with manufacturability requirements.
6. Demonstrated end-to-end product development experience.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in design validation.
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional team environment.
