Job description
Schneider Electric is seeking a candidate for the position of Reliability and Automation Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, India. This position will be responsible for creating the reliability plan, arriving at the most efficient way of predicting the Product reliability. For carrying out reliability validations, it is essential to have an outbox of thinking and be well versed in automating the Reliability tests to the large extent. The product lines include. (PV) Stand alone and Grid Tie inverters, Charge controllers, Lead acid and Li-ion batteries, energy storage systems, Panel boards, communication devices like WiFi and Blue tooth in addition to EMI/EMC requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure the Reliability is built-into offer and reaches the satisfaction of the future customers.
Essential Functions:
Create Reliability plans in line with Design for Reliability process.
Participate/ facilitate the review process of DFMEA, FTA, WCA, Derating.
Carry out Reliability Prediction (MTBF, etc.), Modeling using international standard.
Should be highly conversant and knowledgeable in national/international standards and standard test procedures in interpreting the test requirements, test execution and result interpretation in the most accurate and effective manner,
Draw reliability growth & demonstration test plans and execute in new project
Liaise with external test laboratories for executing Reliability Tests
Life Data Analysis, Markov Analysis, Li Ion Storage/ operating life analysis
Experience in handling reliability software tools like Windchill Quality Solutions, Reliasoft etc.
Support Design team in component failure analysis, reliability analysis & test automation using scripts like Python
Organize and provide training in Reliability Tools & Practices
Work with cross-functional teams and other business units to propose Reliability tests suited for Harsh environment
Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for Reliability engineering and technical work
Work with suppliers and manufacturing plants to solve product Reliability issues
Participate in technical conference; implement industry best practice; feedback field experience into the new product development and drive the improvement of product quality constantly
Support Global Reliability program by training material preparation & best practice sharing
Secondary Functions:
To participate in Design Review
To support new lab setup & maintain MEOST rack
Domain knowledge.
1.Understanding of Power Electronics Circuit
2. Hands on knowledge of Relex/Reliasoft tools
3. Knowledge of Reliability Prediction standards
4. Knowledge of FMEA
5. Knowledge of Reliability test methodologies
6. Exposure to FTA fundamentals
7. Exposure to Li Ion standard
8. Good command to MS office package
Secondary Functions:
To participate in Design Review
To support new lab setup & maintain MEOST rack
Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English in a highly technical environment.
Ability to read, write, and speak other languages, preferably including one or more of French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, etc.
Ability to source, translate, and analyze technical documents, identify relevant sections, and communicate requirements

Qualifications :
Education & Experience :
· Electrical/Electronics Engineering degree, preferably with a focus on power systems
· Experience with utility operations and practices
· Experience of around 2-4 year
