Position Summary: We are seeking a HR Generalist to provide HR support for the Energy, Supply and Sustainability business [ESS] within Schneider Electric. The HR Generalist will assist in providing support in different areas of the HR offer including on-boarding new employees, training, systems reporting and support, recruitment, pay and benefits issue resolution and wellness. Key character and position requirements are listed below.
Position responsibilities:
Metrics and Analysis: (30%)
Provide supplemental people analysis to HR and business leaders
· Provide ongoing quantitative and qualitative analysis to HRBP and business leaders on trends regarding recruitment, turnover, employee engagement, and other topics
· Maintain monthly people reports for HR and Finance teams to support ongoing analysis
· Develop fluency with HRIS reporting functions and provide ad-hoc reporting to business leaders
· Manage HRIS data audits, help maintain current and accurate data through the year, and provide guidance to managers and employees with transactions as needed
· Tracking employee participation in required initiatives as needed
· Create and deliver presentations on respective data for in quarterly and monthly business meetings
· Partner with global People Analytics & Metrics team to provide guidance and issue resolution on line of business
HR Services: (30%)
Liaise for employees with national shared services teams
· Cascade information and provide local support on national campaigns such as open enrollment, health assessments, and other topics
· Disseminate information and provide local support on global campaigns such as performance and compensation reviews, company engagement survey, and systems trainings
· Advocate resolution for employees in regards to critical or escalated benefits and pay issues
· Ensure proper HRIS profile creation with regional New Hires team
· Assist with immigration situations as needed (i.e., expat, international assignments)
Local HR Support: (20%)
Represent HR function to local group of 300 employees, and North America group of 600
· Serve as HR liaison for local business resource groups, and provide assistance planning events and activities to enhance culture
· Assist HRBP with training activities as needed (i.e. coordinate internal training, preparation, delivery, etc.
· Maintain agenda and develop materials for quarterly and monthly meetings with business leaders
· Assist with other duties as assigned, particularly ad-hoc projects at the request of business leaders
Onboarding: (10%)
Connect new employees to the SE employment offer
· Coordinate and conduct new employee orientations
· Cultivate partnership with IT to ensure timely systems access and orientation
· Provide follow-up during onboarding process for new employees as needed
Recruitment: (5%)
Support local recruiting efforts, and provide partnership to national recruitment team
· Attendance at fall and spring college career fairs
· Partner with hiring managers in requisition creation and maintenance
· Coordination with national recruitment team as needed
Offboarding: (5%)
Coordinate the departure process with employee, manager, and HRBP
· Provide guidance for employee on departure process as it relates to pay, benefits, and other employee programs
· Coordinate communication of departure with manager and HRBP
· Support manager in completing steps to terminate pay, systems access, etc.
· Maintain exit survey and deliver in-person exit interview with departing employee
· Communicate exit interview document to respective leaders
Desired profile
Essential skills and qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
· Superior professional written and verbal communication skills
· Strong quantitative analytical skills
· Aptitude and comfort with public speaking
· Proficient in Microsoft office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
· Ability to gain trust and respect from employees and business leaders
· Collaborative mindset, with ability to navigate change management
· Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
· Comfort with cyclical workload, with busier times correlating with corporate HR calendar
Nonessential skills and qualifications :
· 1-3 years related HR experience
· Prior experience working for a large, heavily matrixed, publically held global company beneficial
· Proficiency in Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), particularly Oracle and Taleo
