Headquartered in Boston, MA, AlphaStruxure employees are currently hired by Schneider Electric and then seconded to the AlphaStruxure venture as we build the platform to launch our business as a stand-alone entity. This position will be based in the Boston, MA office.

MISSION:

AlphaStruxure is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Financial Analyst with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) experience in the United States, to contribute to a multitude of financial aspects and processes in our growing organization.

The individual should possess analysis and/or accounting experience in a technical, possibly project-based environment to support AlphaStruxure in its pursuit of new distributed energy, microgrid and energy-as-a-service investment opportunities. They must thrive in a team that is highly analytical and values creativity, collaboration, perseverance and strong written and oral communication skills.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer of AlphaStruxure, specific responsibilities of the position include but may not be limited to:

· Derives meaningful conclusions from financial analysis and planning for project and business models to support decision-making
· Contributes to quarterly and annual financial close as well as forecasting and budgeting processes
· Maintains project cost tracking in close collaboration with technical team members
· Processes invoices, prepares billings and monitors receipts
· Prepares journal entries and account reconciliations as necessary, ensuring accounting practices comply with most recent financial reporting standards as well as AlphaStruxure’s requirement for utmost integrity and transparency
· Supports implementation of financial and general business procedures, potentially performing research on standards or best practices, proposes recommendations to improve efficiency
· Participates in the implementation of an ERP system, actively engages in set-up and testing
· Conducts initial project/asset set-up in ERP based on contractual terms, conditions and requirements as per the as-sold budget
· Assembles financial reports to meet internal and external reporting requirements
· Supports ad-hoc requirements and special projects as necessary

Qualifications :

QUALIFICATIONS:

The optimal candidate will be a top performer with a minimum of 2 years’ realevant experience in a U.S. GAAP setting. They should be proficient in the Microsoft Office software suite including Excel and PowerPoint and able to quickly summarize analyses in charts, graphs and financial output pages. A successful candidate will be an adept problem-solver with solid analytical skills and good judgment. They will thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving work environment, demanding a high level of interpersonal skills and collaboration across functional teams. A positive, collaborative tone and the fostering of a collegial and ethical culture is second nature to them.

Required Qualifications:

·  2-5 years of financial analysis or U.S. GAAP (project) accounting experience
·  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
·  Ability to quickly grasp complex structures and models
·  Understanding of project accounting methodologies and financial management of contract funding, revenue, cost, profit, DSO, billed AR, unbilled AR, backlog, labor utilization, subcontracts, consultants, excess revenue, and purchase orders
·  Genuine interest in financial and business processes in a technical environment
·  Hands-on attitude, desire to learn and reliably submit high-quality work product
·  Strong interdisciplinary communication skills with the ability to accept and support change
·  Strong commitment to company vision and values, passion for clean energy

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Solid understanding of financial processes with experience in process improvement
·  Previous exposure to Customer and/or Vendor Contracts
·  Experience working in a rapidly expanding company
·  Knowledge of clean energy technology such as solar PV, CHP, battery storage, fuel cells
·  Experience in either in consulting firm, audit (Big Four) or internal experience, such as operational or financial functions
·  Experience working with multiple legal entities, including some with complex legal structures

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics or another related area of study. Master’s degree a Plus.
