What do you get to do in this position?
This position is based in Greensboro, NC but will also be responsible for SH&E management of the Kettering, OH facility (75% / 25%).
• Ensure compliance to regulations in the field of Health & Safety, Environment & Facilities Management
• Put in place & pilot contingency plan in case of emergency situation
* Deploy & pilot the professional risk assessment & site impact assessment
• Define, implement and follow up energy reduction actions according to SE guidelines
• Put in place & maintain management system in health & safety & environment & Energy (ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ILO-OSH, OSHAS 18001…)
• Propose targets, action plan & resources according to SE guidelines.
• Deploy SERE methodologies, best practices, promote idea system, & improve SERE skills of employees
• Manage the procurement, cost follow-up and productivity actions for PPE
• Ensure KPI & communication accuracy to the plant manager and outside the plant (report in Globes and Energy Operation tool, …)
• Be the owner of the SPS Cards 5B & 5C for the plant
• Be responsible for security for the plant.
• Be responsible for training and leading all EHS related teams
• Perform incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and root cause analysis
• Work closely with HR on Worker's Compensation and the company's Ergonomist related to ergonomic matters.
· Maintains SE tracking tools for EHS related items such as incidents, environment, etc.
· Corresponds with outside agencies, such as OSHA, EPA, Marsh, ENSR, local fire departments and safety vendors.
· Implements and maintains a chemical mgt program including approval of SDSs, haz com training, and Waste disposal.
· Implements and maintains a contractor safety program including approving contractors, and performing routine contractor project inspections

· Bachelor Degree
· Ability to originate new procedures and approaches to problems within an established field.
· This position requires working nights, weekends or non-regular hours to meet deadlines. It is a 24-hour on call position for emergencies. And requires accessibility by mobile phone at all times.
· Bachelor's degree in a related field.
· 2 - 5 years experience.
· Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state and federal safety rules and regulations.
· Understanding of workers' compensation and injury management.
· Computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and peripherals.
