Inside Sales Channel BDM

Job description

Reporting to the General Manager Insight Sales you will be responsible for promoting the full Schneider Electric (SE) product offer to increase demand from electricians / electrical contractors through the wholesaler network.

Working in the newly created Insight Sales team you will develop ongoing relationships within the electrical wholesale channel to create sales opportunities with end user customers and Wholesale branches to meet and exceed National sales and growth targets.

An office based role you will partner with sales teams within SE and the external electrical wholesale channel to educate and promote customers on SE products and solutions.

Developing close customer relations with both your owned accounts and the associated branch staff, at all relevant wholesale branches you will:

·  Use telephony, a laptop and any other validated digital tools to effectively engage your customers;
·  Promote products to electrical contractors and wholesalers to educate them on the advantages of using Clipsal / SE products;
·  Increase the Clipsal / SE range of products and depth of range within the various wholesale branches;
·  Inform your customers of new products, promotions, campaigns and company program activities;
·  Initiate, define, plan, communicate and follow up SEAU's business strategy in order to ensure company's long-term viability, profitability and market share;
·  Continue to evolve the sales and marketing approach, strategies, identify and explore new opportunities.

Desired profile

Required Skills and Experience:
·  Demonstrated sales & / or marketing ability either by proven successful work experience or tertiary qualification;
·  Experience in the Electrical contracting or Wholesaling industry, in either a sales role or as an electrician (Essential);
·  Proven ability to meet sales targets and increase revenue;
·  Highly developed rapport and relationship building skills;
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills;
·  A Grade Electrical Certification (Desirable);
·  Marketing & Sales Tertiary Qualifications (Desirable).
