General Warehouse Operative

This position will be working in a warehouse environment. Responsibilities include staging and sorting merchandise for putting away; loading and unloading shipments, sorting and placing merchandise in racks, stacking cardboard boxes and pallets; moving materials, wrapping boxes & pallet loads, boxing and labeling, looking for Quality, maintaining logs; receive, store and distribute merchandise as we as to provide support to other in doing the similar tasks; and preparing shipping paperwork. Reviewing and counting materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program. Open bales, crates and other containers. Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.

Essential Duties:
· Must be able to perform basic warehouse/manufacturing functions including but not limited to assembly, lifting, and counting.
· Visually inspects and documents quality characteristics
· Able to work in a team oriented environment
· Previous experience or ability to operate forklifts/pallet jacks/stand/deep reach forklift and pallet jack/sit down forklift.
· Basic Computer skills for elemental transactions on a PC or mobile device as RF guns

Desired profile

Qualifications:

· GED/High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
· Previous experience and knowledge of warehouse operations, methods, and procedures
· Must be able to understand paper work documents.
· Must Pass Background Check & Drug Test before starting work.
· Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
· 40 hour work week / overtime as needed to fulfill requirements of position. Must be available for 2nd or 3rd shift if needed.
· Attention to detail required.
· Flexibility and versatility to carry out tasks as assigned by lead/supervisor/manager.
· Strong sense of urgency.
· Able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
· Punctuality & good attendance is a must.

Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift up to 40 lb sporadically.
· Able to stand continuously for extended periods of time
· Must be comfortable standing, bending, lifting, and walking without restriction repeatedly over the course of a shift.
· Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment.
