Validation and Test Engineer

Job description

We are currently seeking a Validation and Testing Engineers to join our R&D department for our Automation Business Unit. Reporting to the V&V Manager, the primary responsibility of the role includes (but is not limited to):

Design of Test Platforms, related procurement activities and System Integration.

Education : BE (Instrumentation/EE/EC)

Tech Skills

Knowledge of PLC/DCS ,Drives, Motor starter, Distributed IO, Field Instruments, SCADA,HMI.

Knowledge in configuring PLC and connectivity to different devices through different protocol ( Modbus, HART,ASi,Ethernet,CIP, Profibus, FF,EIP....)

Knowledge in programming PLC, HMI and SCADA.

Knowledge in third party interface for PLC and knowledge in OPC .

Knowledge of Firmware update for controller and interface modules.

Hands on experience in plant control system commissioning, installation, calibration, loop checking, trouble shooting of any technical problems

Knowledge on Field instruments Make: Khrone, Yokogawa, RoseMont, Eurotherm

Advantage if knowledge on Schneider PLC (Quantum, Premium , M580, M340,....) with relevant software like Unity Pro.

Advantage if knowledge on Invensys System( Foxbro PLC, Trident safety system,Scimi,....) with relevant software like Foxbro EVO, Tristation.

Domain: Water & Waste Water, Mining , Metal & Minerals, Cement, Steel, Oil& Gas, Chemical.......

Technology: FDT, DTM, HTML5, Mobility, Cloud, Cyber security, Ethernet, TCP/IP.

Testing: Manual testing and Automation testing using tools like Test Complete , Knowledge on Test management system like QAComplete & Quality Control , Bug Tracking tool.

Process: Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, PMP, V model,

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Bachelors in Electrical / Electronics/ Instrumentation engineering.
2-4 Yrs of Experience.
ISTQB Foundation level certification CCNA or MSCE
Good Knowledge on substation topologies.
Good knowledge on Computer Networking
Good knowledge on Scripting tools.
Knowledge on test Automation
Good knowledge on Substation Protection and Control schemes and their implementations (not essential but preferable)
Excellent written and spoken English skills
