Job description

The Technical Trainer will report directly to the APAC Training Services Manager, and is responsible for the delivering of local and regional training, which could include coaching of local and regional teams. The Technical Trainer ensures the technical competency of the team (Internal Staff and Partners) with regards to EcoStruxure building automation control systems and security systems, but could also include Schneider Electric’s other product offers, including from the Power Division. The Technical Trainer could also be a mentor and guide for the technical teams, for product offer technical issues, and assists with resolution. Although not a primary role, Trainers are seen to be subject matter experts and therefore from time to time could be approached by someone seeking guidance. This is a demanding position, but also promises to be very rewarding for the right candidate.

Job Responsibilities:

A key aspect of the Technical Trainer’s role is to ensure that as part of the Training Academy Team, he or she successfully executes the following tasks:
· Manage and deliver training sessions in a professional manner
· Ensure sessions are registered and maintained via the Learning Management System. Admin assistance is available, so adding sessions will not be the responsibility of the successful candidate, but he or she will need to manage events with the Admin Team when sessions need to be scheduled, and managed after each event, by submitting the rosters
· Maintaining training equipment
· Completing all required training documentation and other job specific online event handling including responsible for shipping of training equipment where required

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  Bachelor's degree preferred
·  Relevant experience in Building Management Systems and Access Control & Security Field
·  Technical Lead/Supervisory experience
·  Bilingual in both English & Mandarin preferred as you will be required to conduct training in both languages within the region
·  Experience using Computers or related BAS Software Programs and understand logical programming
·  Willingness to travel more than 25 - 50% of typical work calendar year in the APAC/EAJ region (This may vary depending on demand)
·  Knowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control preferred
·  Prior experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation preferred
·  Prior training delivery / facilitation experience will be an advantage
