Technical Antenna Engineer

Job description
The Technical Antenna is responsible for supporting new product development and sustaining of current products. Applies technical expertise to define, analyze, validate and document the manufacturing operating environment, state of technology and current engineering processes. Will lead and/or assist in the investigation and resolution of performance issues with industrial molded case circuit breakers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of engineering support activities related to product engineering and styling, tool construction and design, engineering prototyping, testing, controls engineering, process design/layout, manufacturing, safety and analytical analysis.
Supports manufacturing plant with all technical aspects of the Product Offer. Is the technical liaison between the plant and Continuous Engineering.
Works on short and long term problems/projects using manufacturing, quality, and SPS (Schneider Production System) tools to resolve issues. ie. PFMEA, Control Plan, 8D, CAPEX, SAP, work orders, layout, etc.
Conducts research and applies specialized knowledge (such as mechanical, electrical, etc.) to provide engineering and technical solutions. Offers corrective actions.
Provides expertise for new supplier qualification or supplier transfers.
Execution of Light track PEP (Product Evolution Process) projects (PCR’s)
Implements/explains inside factory new and updated version of Product Definition Files, including Pilot Run reviews
Review FAIR’s and make decisions on conformity of parts.
Makes proposals of QVE (quality value engineering) actions to related Continuous Engineering Department
Support Continuous Engineers (as required) for investigation on product safety issues.
Ensure Industrial File and Product Definition files are consistent.
Provides support for PPT (Project Prioritization Team) initiatives to help the MO plant achieve performance metrics. (Safety, Productivity, Customer Service, etc) Act as project owner and push projects through to completion.
Provide information and/or test requirements to rework or sort product from a performance standpoint. Provide feedback to appropriate CE.
Provide technical support to CE on design change implementation and on new product integration.
Provide evaluation of assembly line technical data (or Cp data) to appropriate CE.
Be able to resolve issues with SAP BOM’s (bill of material)
Desired profile
Required Job Skill Set::
Bachelors of Science in an Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Specific software skills include: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, AutoCAD and Access
Viable candidate must have a positive can do attitude, good organization skills, the ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team is a necessity.
Must be well organized with strong problem solving abilities, a strong desire to learn and to drive improvement, as well as good oral and written communication skills.
All PIM suite : PEP Process, Methods & Tools
Able to work in cross cultural and cross functional global teams
Preferred Job Skill Set:
Masters in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Course work in or direct application of Lean tools: Eight Disciplines (8D) Problem Solving methodology, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen and Six Sigma applications
1 to 3 years experience in a Manufacturing environment with proven results in the above mentioned areas.
