Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a benefits eligible contract to hire position and is responsible for sourcing, screening and interviewing candidates for positions throughout the company at all levels for the DTN division. This position incumbent must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company's organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of policies, procedures, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
The Contract length will be 6 months and a permanent offer or contract extension will be discussed at the 6 month mark if the req load warrants. While this position is for a fixed term contract, it will be a W2 position with benefits and PTO.

Essential Functions

· Processes and posts job requisitions.
· Coordinates with hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting process for position(s).
· Extends verbal and written contingent job offers.
· Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments, and makes recommendations for hire (or not hire).
· Coordinates post offer checks including background checks, new-hire drug testing, reference checks and employment verification.
· Conducts orientation of new employees; follows up with the related aspects of onboarding, such as completing of forms, notifying the department of employee's starting date and the requisition the employee is filling, etc.
· Completes reports on employment activity. Researches, analyzes, prepares and presents hiring and statistics.
· Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
· Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
· Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.
· Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan creation and compliance.
· Arranges travel and lodging for applicants, if necessary.

Desired profile

This job might be for you if:

· You have 3+ years of recruiting background in a corporate environment.

· You have experience in Applicant Tracking Systems (nice to have: implementation experience.

· You have experience in Affirmative Action Plan creation.

· Nice to have: HR Certification
