Sustaining Engineer (Mechanical)

Job description

SUMMARY OF JOB:

Work as sustaining mechanical engineer to manage and maintain the released cooling products, including products improving & cost reduction. Keep improving the quality of Schneider cooling product. Improve the mechanical assemblies to solve customer issues and take actions to avoid same later.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Learn the knowledge of existed products and familiar with product structure design.

· Support to answer the questions from service team or Technical Support Centre based on expertise knowledge of products.

· Analysis the root cause of products or components failure, and support to complete TEX (technical expert report) for customer issues.

· Investigate PCR (product change request).

· Prepare ECO and CIM to factory.

· Support QVE projects for products cost reduction.

· Work with factory to implement the product changes.

· Publish technical information: Resolutions, FAQs, Manuals, etc.

EDUCATION – MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:

Preferred academic qualifications and background
Bachelor or above degree majored in Mechanical Engineering

WORK EXPERIENCE – MINIMUM 3 - 4 Years:

· Solid expericence in product mechnical design for product structrue, sheet metal, piping layout etc.. HVAC or Computer room air conditioner mechainal design experience is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS – REQUIRED:

· Skilled capability for 3D model software. (Pro-E, Solidedge, or Solidworks)

· Familiar with MS office software.

· Fluent in Oral and Written English

· Good ownership and self-motivation to complete work.

· Good communication capabilities to different funciton teams and external customers.

TRAVEL: Domestic and international travel as needed
