Supplier Quality Engineer - SQE

Job description

This position has the responsibility to provide supplier quality support to Strategic Project team located in US and will report directly to the Supplier Quality Manager - Projects.

The primary roles and responsibilities of this SQE position are as follows:
- Support productivity projects across Norht America
- Responsible for the PPEP Process (Product Part Evaluation Process)
- Drive proactive quality, delivery and productivity improvement with Schneider Electric's supply base.
- Conduct quality system evaluations of new and existing suppliers (supplier process audit).
- Develop key suppliers on Schneider Electric's expectations, systems and performance objectives.
- Respond and drive rapid solution to project quality issues

Desired profile

Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Electronic)
- Availability to travel, position requires 25% (domestic and/or international)
- Experience in qualification of parts
- Knowledge of quality core tools, PFMEA, Quality Control Plans,8Ds, Process Flow, etc
- Strong leadership to work with a manager in a different location, self motivated
- 2 or more years of experience in manufacturing areas such as: quality, supplier quality, production, design engineering, purchasing.

Desirable:
- Project Management Experience
- Lean Six Sigma Trained (Green or Black Belt)
- Measurement methods experience
