Position Summary:

Our Energy & Sustainability Services (ESS) business offers solutions to key challenges facing customers with respect to managing and optimizing their energy and utility data. The Solution Architect will collaborate closely with our Client Development team to understand the needs and objectives of customers, then translate those needs to the solutions provided by our Global Data Operations team, ultimately enabling the company to acquire new clients and exceed revenue targets while ensuring client satisfaction. The Solutions Architect becomes involved with key sales opportunities as directed by their manager and other key members of the Client Development and Client Management groups. This position works in a matrixed reporting environment, with a direct reporting line to the VP of Global Data Operations and dotted line responsibility to ESS Sales leadership.

Primary responsibilities:

· Provide depth and credibility to customer engagements by providing in-depth technical knowledge of the ESS Global Data Operations services

· Respond to functional/technical elements of RFI's / RFP's, guiding client development resources in the preparation of industry leading content

· Demonstrate the value of our services and help position accordingly through written and verbal presentation

· Lead content development of standard proposals, contracts and supporting collateral for ESS Data Services

· Consistently support sales teams at key, defined points in the sales process

· Convey customer requirements to business leadership, ensuring that ESS Global Data Operations offerings remain fresh and aligned with evolving marketplace needs

· Develop and maintain a robust understanding of customer expectations and competitor capabilities, and translate those for ESS leadership to ensure ongoing competitiveness and success of services

· Collaborate with ESS Global Data Operations team members to foster service innovation; package, communicate, and position these services within the global organization to accelerate sales of new services

· Accompany sales team on key sales engagements as required – travel throughout the sales territory

· Experience navigating organizations and an understanding of ESS Global Data Operations staff/solutions

· Bachelor's degree, or equivalent related experience
