We are currently seeking a Software Test Engineer for 12-month contractor position with possibility of term extension, to assist in testing and verification of embedded software for our solar inverters, data logger, and related products.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Execute manual and automated software tests on embedded software features
· Create new test cases based on marketing and functional specifications
· Analyze and document test results
· Work with development engineers during scrum development
· Troubleshoot frontend and backend device software issues
· Enter and verify software issue reports
Desired profile
Qualifications:
· Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in either CS, EE
· 1+ experience working in software QA environment preferred. New graduates may apply as well.
· Experience with Linux or QNX preferred
· Python test script development experience preferred
· Basic familiarity with electronic circuitry
· Demonstrated problem troubleshooting and multitasking skills
· Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written, are required
You will gain experience in the following areas:
· Hands-on experience with Industry leading Inverter/Chargers, Control, Monitoring solutions
· Knowledge of embedded firmware testing
· Experience working with Modbus protocol
· Experience working with teams in different timezones
· Experience working in an agile software development environment
