DESCRIPTION :
We are looking for a 1 year long position for a paid internship. Part time while attending school and up to full time when not. This position will be part of the Software Development organization in Lake Forest, CA and will report to the Manager of Development Tools Support.
The Lake Forest campus is an official Schneider Electric "Cool Site" . A friendly work environment with stocked kitchens and an exercise facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Organize, track and consolidate 3rd party product licenses we purchase and renew annually. We purchase software and hardware products to support our software development and purchase maintenance on such licenses annually.
Help make educated decisions about how we spend or save tens of thousands of dollars on licenses.
Duties will include the following:
· Collecting information from various sources for consolidation.
· Understanding the purpose of the products and how they are licensed.
· Interfacing with the developers and their managers about the usage of software and hardware products.
· Developing an online system to easily track and issue licenses to those that need them.
· Some light computer programming do develop a web site.
Desired profile
QUALIFICATIONS :
· 3+ years of college with a plan to obtain a Computer Science or Engineering Degree.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel.
· Some computer programming experience.
· Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
· Ability and desire to work well with others.
