KNX Project Engineer
Your Mission:
This is a senior engineering position within the Smartspace line of business reporting to the Services Manager. The primary job function is to manage, maintain and upgrade our customers control projects which may consist of one or many of the following but not limited too these protocols KNX, LON, C-Bus, DALI Control, BACnet, ModBUS, Niagara AX and StruxturWare. As a Senior Services Engineer you would also be responsable for supporting other engineers within the team.
Your responsibilities:
1.Services Team Project Management
2.Coordinating, preparing and fault finding project solutions and maintaining them:
- Being able to design & engineer building control / automation systems and supporting others with theirs
- Working with bus systems and technologies such as KNX, LON, BACnet, Modbus & Tridium Niagara AX, with development to StruxturWare
- Building and maintaining systems software & configurations (ETS)
- Delivery of Training to customers and other team members
3. Supporting with the execution of projects:
- Scheduling equipment for projects (PPM critical Spares & minor works)
- Pre-configuring and downloading equipment prior to delivery
4. Communication with customers:
- Liaising with customer regarding queries for your own and other team members
- Writing and preparation of project related documentation including cost sheets and maintenance contracts
5. Working with AutoCAD or redlining drawings for AutoCAD engineer:
- Updating of schematics, layouts, topology drawings and other associated details
- Reading and working from schematic and engineering drawings
About you:
Experience in similar Service Engineering environment
Experience with KNX, LON, C-Bus, DALI Control, BACnet, ModBUS, Niagara AX or StruxturWare
Project Engineering background - not essential but desirable
IT /networking skills and Delivery of Training
Electrical qualification
KNX Partner qualification
