Based in Louisville, Ky., Schneider Electric's Energy & Sustainability Services (ESS) division addresses clients' diverse energy and sustainability management needs. Experts within the division provide integrated solutions to meet clients energy supply, demand and sustainability challenges. With an expanding global footprint, Energy & Sustainability Services includes a team of more than 2,000 energy professionals in offices around the globe.

Position Summary: We seek a Regional Energy Buyer to work with our Sourcing team. Some duties of this role include identification of viable energy suppliers, initiation and management of RFP processes, and negotiating with suppliers. Additional information about the role is listed below.

Position responsibilities:
• Learn energy industry.
• Acquire and maintain expertise in specified natural gas and electric power markets.
• Initiate needed RFP processes for clients
• Assist in investigating, identifying, and providing impact assessments of pertinent market information.
• Perform Excel-based analysis of supplier bids to determine appropriate pricing products for clients.
• Participate in negotiations for supply terms and prices with supplier base.
• Draft recommendations to clients.
• Implement client-approved energy strategies.
• Micro commodity research (utility switch rules, etc).
• Maintain historical pricing for assigned geographic areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to identify, analyze and comprehend information from numerous sources, and communicate pertinent information to the appropriate parties.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in computer technology especially Microsoft Office Products.
• Provide excellent customer service internally and externally.
• Work well on teams, within and outside of function.
