Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our team as a Power Solutions Project Engineer.
Your Mission:
The position requires a proactive customer driven approach, demonstrating full ownership and responsibility for implementing and completing projects with the customer. The role involves engineering, managing, planning and resourcing multiple projects within the projects team. The role requires close working with fellow engineers and project managers as well as the commercial team for supporting additional sales opportunities
Your responsibilities:
1. Carry out engineering design and commissioning of Power Solutions projects, H & S documentation, O & M documentation.
2. Operate and deliver multiple projects to our customers through Schneider Electric Quality Management System and Health and Safety Management System
3. Ensure that defined project goals, objectives and performance measures are met or exceeded.
4. Provide full technical management of the projects.
5. Identify project issues and put proactive plans in place to resolve effectively and in a timely manner.
6. Financial control of small projects; including procurement, invoice approval, variation handling, final account agreement, monthly cost to complete reviews. Close liaison with the commercial team.
7. Be the sole representative for Power Solutions and develop key relationships with the customer/contractors. Attend site meetings with the customer, contractor, subcontractor, consultant as appropriate.
8. Take a proactive approach to progress projects and own technical ability.
About you:
The ideal candidate will be educated in an Engineering Discipline and have relevant work experience.
The ability to develop engineering solutions from concept through to site commissioning and witnessing.
Capable of developing procedures and processes and have good leadership skills including, employee mentoring and development and the ability to empower others through delegating responsibility.
Computer literate and familiar with relevant software packages,
Have a good understanding of;
- Electrical networks, Control systems, Power Monitoring,
Good understanding of contracting procedures relative to such areas as;
- Project correspondence, Project Engineering documentation, Timely notice of issues, Site reporting, Health and safety procedures and report
