1. Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the effective utilization of materials, equipment and systems in the assembly of simple to moderately complex products and/or electrical wiring. Performs electrical sub assembly and minimal wiring on small to medium sized parts.

2. SKILL (Education, Experience, Initiative and Ingenuity):

· Must be able to successfully take and pass appropriate Work Keys assessment.

· Ability to read basic blueprints and follow work instructions.

· Basic understanding of electrical principles and UL requirements helpful.

· Experience with basic hand tools, air tools, gages and torque wrenches.

· 0-1 years previous Assembly experience preferred.

3. EFFORT (Physical Demand, Mental or Visual Demand)

· Must have excellent natural or corrected vision.

· Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

· Job can be performed alternating sitting and standing. Job is primarily performed while sitting.

· Ability to perform continuous repetitive motions with hands and arms.

4. RESPONSIBILITY (Equipment or Process, Material or Product, Safety of Others, Work of Others)

· Read and understand simple blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.

· Utilizes a variety of hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment.

· Assembles small to medium sized parts.

· Responsible for own quality check.

· Responsible for own product quality, proper measuring techniques, and tool use and care.

· Establishes and maintains a safe and healthful working environment in accordance with OSHA requirements.

· Performs other tasks as may be requested to assure the effective and continuous utilization of assets.

· Follows basic work directions performing repetitive sub-assembly work.

5. JOB CONDITIONS (Working Conditions, Hazards)

· Safety shoes and safety glasses are required.

· Work is performed in an Assembly line environment in a manufacturing plant.

· Noise level is within normal and acceptable standards for environment.

· Proper use of various hand tools and cutting tools required.

6. UTILITY/FLOATER (Development, Assists supervision)

· Covers work stations for associates on PTO.

· Familiar with and is efficient on a variety of workstations.

· Trains new associates as assigned by Supervisor.

· Monitors Safety, Quality and Production KPI's as assigned by Supervisor.
