Product Owner, Oil & GAS OASyS
Location: Calgary, AB
Schneider Electric is looking for our Oil & Gas OASyS SCADA solution. This is an exciting position for someone who excels at learning and understanding customer business problems and is passionate about working with technical teams to deliver elegant solutions to solve them.
The selected candidate will have a strong pipeline SCADA solution background, be experienced in delivering customer value using Agile methodologies, and has a drive to manage market leading solutions.
Responsibilities include:
· Participate in solution strategy planning and contribute to the product vision and roadmap.
· Be the Voice of the Customer to the development organization working closely with them to deliver solutions that match the product vision.
· Own the product backlogs and continually prioritize them to maximize customer value in alignment with business strategy. Aggregate feature requests from customer user groups, Product Managers, Solution Architects, Sales, product support, and delivery organizations.
· Ensure development has the business context and user stories needed to deliver market focused solutions.
· Provide guidance to development on scope-cost tradeoffs to strike the right balance between functionality, budget and timeline.
· Negotiate release scope changes with stakeholders.
· Conduct technology assessments.
· Develop and foster relationships with customers. Coordinate feedback sessions with them during the development cycle.
Requirements
· Ability to define and articulate the business case for product features and functionality.
· Experience working with an Agile/Scrum development environment, and writing user stories and workflows.
· Seasoned judgment in prioritizing release features and making tradeoffs between functionality, timelines, and cost.
· Strong background with SCADA, and pipeline management applications.
