The Global Supply Chain Purchasing Leadership Team is leading a major transformation as part of the Schneider company program to accelerate the digitization of the purchasing functions. Our goal is to make this team #1 in the digitization of Schneider Electric
The GSC Procurement organization in Schneider is serving 240 plants across 44 countries, leveraging the expertise of roughly 1'800 Buyers, dealing with 45'000 active suppliers for 12 Billion Euros worth of purchases.
One of the challenges to our performance is the heterogeneity of the Information Systems, their critically, and finally their efficient usage.
The Procurement Information Systems team (Proc.IS) is working at taking the best of our Information Systems and of the new digital solutions to better serve the GSC Procurement objectives, for all the Markets, all Regions and all BUs.
The whole Proc.IS team is organized around three main functions/ Data Governance (PMDG), Center of Excellence (CoE) and Digitization Developments (DigiDev).
The Procurement Information Systems (Proc IS) team is working at building capabilities to be delivered and used by the Purchasing Community as enabler to address the many sourcing business challenges. Those capabilities are designed by Business Process Owners.
Within ProcIS, the DigiDev team is a true pillar in our Digitization program in charge of all the activities and resources linked to the development of new capabilities. The team aims at continuously delivering new capabilities to buyers, to suppliers and to stakeholders that are leveraging the procurement services. The projects led by DigiDev form the most essential component and the true trigger of the global change in procurement related to the digital transformation. DigiDev transforms this vision into concrete projects and high business value deliverables for our buyers, internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Proc IS needs a testing manager to increase the quality of the solutions delivered. This critical role will be transversal to many organizations as the testing resources belong to different teams depending on the testing involved. E2E contribution is key: from requirements gathering, acceptance criteria, to testing preparation, testing, validation, deploying and supporting, the testing manager will move Proc IS to the next level of Quality – thus delivering solutions that the business can trust and ensure the value creation is delivered as per expectations.

Schneider Electric seeks a testing manager to drive the testing process and resources. This is a full-time position for a dynamic person who knows how to talk numbers to business stakeholders and data nerds alike. You prefer automation to manual reporting and you love hard data. This team is strongly focused on peer mentorship and collaboration. Your best friend is an aggregation, and your brain is wired for data extracting, filtering, and visual communication.
As testing manager, you will collaborate with internal customers. The emphasis is on the Quality of the delivery. You will be responsible for the end-to-end testing of Proc IS digitization solutions including system architecture, design and development of solutions.
· Increase the quality of the solution delivered thanks to best in class testing, anticipated at functional requirements gathering & acceptance criteria level
· Understand how testing fits into the organizational structure, in other words, clearly define its role within the organization
· Mentor and coach the testing resources on all the testing aspects: types of testing, test Case development, Testing Techniques, Test Management & Control, Defects, Agile, Testing different Domains, Performance Testing
· Optimize the testing organization
· Build up and lead the Testing Team to the success of project and run
· Define the scope of testing within the context of each release / delivery
· Apply the appropriate test measurements and metrics in the product and the testing team
· Plan, deploy and manage the testing effort for any given engagement.
· Work closely with Schneider Digital to coordinate the testing responsibilities within organizations when relevant
· Manage functionally all the testing resources in the project as well as in the run.
· Build up appropriate test strategy for Digitization projects within Procurement Information Systems with first focus on Purchasing Analytics project to ensure
· we have the correct focus and business buy-in.
· we test the right things to validate the organization's most important business priorities
· we assessed potential business impacts and failure points in our strategy
· we employed the right test approach to validate the different technologies and address integrations and customizations
· we understand our stakeholders reporting needs
· given the budget and scope, we have the correct resourcing, test cycles, strategies and tools
· the acceptance criterial are well defined
· Streamline and formalize the whole test process and procedure and related activities across and in synch with all organizations inside Procurement.IS but also outside of Procurement.IS – i.e. with IPO and partners
· Build or leverage conditions to support successful testing (Data alignment and data models; Engaging business teams early to validate the test scope, strategy, and priorities, ect.)
· Be part of project core team to actively participate in the discussion of project roadmap.
· Create test plans that clarifies scope, risk, timelines, resourcing, goals and objectives of testing
· Automate what is possible to support test scripts writing to ensure the successful delivery of the result
· Lead, coordinate and participate the test implementation (functional test and performance test) and documentation
decide the size of a team and skills needed by test after good understanding of the projects, lead the team and ramp-up the test skills of people involved
Desired profile
Qualifications :
This job might be for you if You fit the following Requirements:
· Fluent in English (written and spoken).
· 3+ years' experience on testing
· 5+ years' experience on functional management
· Project experience is mandatory with preference on BI projects
· Purchasing business knowledge
· Familiar with basic theory of testing and testing methodology commonly used
· Familiar with testing process and procedure
· Advanced English in both speaking and writing
· Ability to work on a multi-cultural environment.
· Well-developed soft skills in communicating, sharing, and supporting colleagues and customers.
PLUS
· Knowledge on BI (Birst, Tableau, SQL Server, Qlikview, Power BI, …)
· Strong analytical skills
· Issue resolution skills
· Focus on the customer
· Knowledge of a third language (French or Chinese)
· Experience with SAP and/or Oracle
· Familiar with Jira
· Ability and/or experience teaching beginners how to write their own reports based on standardized dimensions and measures.
Educational Background
· Engineer or Business degree
· MS in engineering or technical field, preferably in Data Science or Applied Mathematics
Desired Professional Experience
· 3+ years' experience on testing
· 5+ years' experience on functional management
· Background in Information Systems, Business Intelligence
· Experience in collaborating with multi-cultural teams
PLUS
· Procurement operational experience (is a clear plus)
· Experience of exchanging with stakeholders at different levels of the hierarchy, up to SVP or Excom
· Collaborating remotely and remote management
· Travels to France, Europe (2-4 times in a year)
