The Global Supply Chain Purchasing Leadership Team is leading a major transformation as part of the Schneider company program to accelerate the digitization of the purchasing functions. Our goal is to make this team #1 in the digitization of Schneider Electric

The GSC Procurement organization in Schneider is serving 240 plants across 44 countries, leveraging the expertise of roughly 1'800 Buyers, dealing with 45'000 active suppliers for 12 Billion Euros worth of purchases.

One of the challenges to our performance is the heterogeneity of the Information Systems, their critically, and finally their efficient usage.

The Procurement Information Systems team (Proc.IS) is working at taking the best of our Information Systems and of the new digital solutions to better serve the GSC Procurement objectives, for all the Markets, all Regions and all BUs.

The whole Proc.IS team is organized around three main functions/ Data Governance (PMDG), Center of Excellence (CoE) and Digitization Developments (DigiDev).

The Procurement Information Systems (Proc IS) team is working at building capabilities to be delivered and used by the Purchasing Community as enabler to address the many sourcing business challenges. Those capabilities are designed by Business Process Owners.

Within ProcIS, the DigiDev team is a true pillar in our Digitization program in charge of all the activities and resources linked to the development of new capabilities. The team aims at continuously delivering new capabilities to buyers, to suppliers and to stakeholders that are leveraging the procurement services. The projects led by DigiDev form the most essential component and the true trigger of the global change in procurement related to the digital transformation. DigiDev transforms this vision into concrete projects and high business value deliverables for our buyers, internal stakeholders and suppliers.

Proc IS initiate pre-studies that are in incubation, feed the business case before they can be approved and move to projects.

Proc IS is looking to hire a Data Scientist to help uncover data insights, build predictive models, and provide prescriptive recommendations leading to an overall improvement in our customer's satisfaction, retention and revenue growth.

What do you get to do in this position?

Schneider Electric seeks a Business Intelligence Manager to lead our BI Design Team. This is a multi-time zone, multi-cultural team so the ability to manage remotely and work with different cultures and time zones is a complete must.

The BI Design Team Manager has primary responsibility for setting the strategy and vision and for managing the day-to-day tactical operations of the BI Design team. She/he will be responsible for all strategic, tactical, operational, financial, human, and technical resource managerial responsibilities associated with the BI Design Team.

The BI Design Team manager will lead her/his team by establishing and executing a vision for the delivery of information and analytics platforms and solutions to the business's key stakeholders, within the Procurement organization. This position will be ultimately responsible for helping transform the company, and more specifically, the Procurement function, into a business that truly differentiates and competes on analytics.

As a BI expert

· Contribute to Proc IS BI/Analytics strategies, and tactical implementation of those strategy components
· Manage the Business Intelligence / Analytics development and support Level3 efforts,
· Actively participate on internal Think Thank for the definition of the dashboard roadmap
· Leverage expertise of senior BI Designers as an opportunity for training & coaching junior BI Designers in various BI related topics to maximize team autonomy
· Maintain, publish and ensure compliance of processes (example: new dashboard requests, support on dashboard issues during run, RACIs, etc) with the help & support of BI Designers
· Play a key role on internal BI Governance as the voice of the BI Designers
· Work alongside other functions within the Procurement IS organization to ensure cross-functional cooperation, collaboration and alignment on all topics that may impact the team
· Provide guidance, training, and problem-solving assistance to team members.

As a manager

· Understand the top management expectations and priorities for Business Intelligence & Analytics within the Procurement organization and align them with the plan
· Proactively manage and challenge way of working with creativity, propose new ideas
· Constantly monitor budget, resources and schedules to make sure the team is aligned with the top management ambition.
· Manage and allocate the BI designers in accordance to the priorities outlined in the dashboard roadmap
· Assign workload to BI Designers per individual capacities and expertise
· Manage & evaluate team members: risk assessment (turnover), potential moves to different teams
· Coordinate different initiatives to grow & upskill team members to strengthen the competencies necessary for BI Design.
· Monitor and report (to management) the activity of the team as well as the deliverables to maximize efficiency of the team, prevent imbalance of workload & forecast need for new resources
· Ensure team member engagement, development and top performance
· Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals.

·  Staff management (performance management, merit, promotions, hiring, training skill development, etc.) experience.
·  Experience leading a diverse team with multiple components across geographic locations.
·  Demonstrated business acumen and ability to balance technical requirements with business needs.
·  Ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
·  Experience in mentoring and coaching.
·  Demonstrated ability to perform well and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
·  Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively across both Information Technology and Business Functional organizations.

PLUS

·  Knowledge of a third language (French or Chinese)
·  Experience with BI related projects
·  Project management skills and ability to lead project teams as required
·  Experience with implementations of enterprise Business Intelligence systems
·  Experience with agile methodology

Educational Background

·  Engineering or Business degree
·  MS in technical field (BI, Analytics, Data Science) or Business Administration

Desired Professional Experience

·  5-7 years' experience in leadership & managing positions
·  3-5 years' experience in business intelligence
·  Experience in collaborating with multi-cultural teams
·  General understanding of IS & Business Intelligence

PLUS

·  Experience leading a team remotely
·  Background in Information Systems, Business Intelligence or Analytics
·  Procurement operational experience (is a clear plus)
·  Experience of exchanging with stakeholders at different levels of the hierarchy, up to SVP or Excom
