Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our team as a Pricing Analyst in our office in Telford.
Your responsibilities:
Performance metrics: definitions, analytics and reporting
· Provide regular and ad hoc pricing analysis and reporting to management at country or zone level. This includes analysis of internal and external factors related to pricing including: Delta Price from Gross to Net Net realization, in relation with Gross Margin evolution, Commercial Targets and environmental factors such as RMI and Fx, Price Waterfall, Channel/Customer segmentation performance for SPA, product and customer price mix analysis and price band analysis.
· Support Kpi preparation for local Pricing Councils and required dashboard input for Quarterly Business Reviews.
· Continuously support standardization and harmonization of pricing performance measurement method across the zone.
· Provide consultative expertise in response to ad hoc country requests for pricing support in terms of analytics.
· Analysis of special price agreement (SPA) breadth and width.
· Process advocate on Price quotation/SPA procedure
· Identify and share best practice for Price Analysis across country organizations, conducting impact assessments with subsequent learning sharing
List price maintenance and update
· Be responsible for preparing all supporting documentation needed to run the regular price adjustment process per country & zone. Manage all change inputs, consolidates and summarize Mix Margin impact for Pricing leader and Management decision taking.
· Support the process through recommendations for price changes for Product Life Cycle Management (new and existing products) including assessing all factors that would impact price or volume trade-offs such as: Value Proposition, Value Capture; competitive environments; Value Mapping; brand attributes; and product adoption curves.
· Identify margin leakage areas and make relevant pricing recommendations to improve.
· Analyze when possible price elasticity models as basis for price changes
· Analyze Price corridors for cross border within the zone and propose relevant pricing actions to improve situation in relation with Corporate strategies.
· Process expert on implementation of price changes including procedures (and harmonization hereof), systems and communication plan
· Identify and implement steps to improve efficiency and effectiveness of list price update process
· Manage the timely transfer of data to third party companies (e.g. Luckins and others) to ensure market price implementation dates are effective
Pricing tools (incl. master data) & analytics
· Utilize (and help to build/improve) the entity information systems in order to support SE price management. Knowledge expert on pricing data information and analysis tools for price measurement and decision process
· Utilize and train others on pricing tools & analysis frameworks to support pricing insight and decision-making
· Resolve data discrepancies as they arise in order to accurately measure performance
· Manage the local Material Pricing Group coding and utilization ensuring systematic cleansing of unused groups and streamlining the volume of MPG's where beneficial.
About You:
· BA/BS degree in IT Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounting or related field with a minimum of three years of experience in analytics, preferably in pricing. Analyst experience with purchasing, logistics, or production management will also be considered .
· Requires a strong aptitude for working with numbers
· Must be able to work well in a team environment
· Advanced Microsoft Excel capability is essential to this role
· Knowledge of BI Oracle, BIRST, BuSiebel 7.8, SAP, and/or Cognos, SQL would be a plus
· Must have great attention to detail
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
