JOB SUMMARY :
This position provides ownership and facilitator of improvements to WW Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) Process in all Manufacturing Facilities to increase productivity and maintain quality during production across all Manufacturing lines. This position is also about providing process support to production to have a smooth and continuous process flow from the start of PCB assembly process up to ICT Testing. The position is likewise responsible in analyzing PCB Manufacturing trends, new technologies and materials used and development and facilitate use in production. Also aid in analyzing
failure trends and resolving process-related defects to sustain line efficiency.
Monitors, evaluates and recommends improvements to Design Teams to improve manufacturability and design of PCBs and modify and create manufacturing process to increase productivity and reduce DPUs. Support and aids analysis of failure trends and resolving process-related defects to sustain line efficiency, identifies and implements process cost reductions and develops new manufacturing processes and line improvements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION :
The PCBA Manufacturing Engineer's role is to provide improvement and immediate support from the start to end of PCB assembly process (e.g., analysis and improvement of productivity)
(a) Facilitate and standardize needed materials (fixtures, jigs, and other indirect materials) for production. Facilitate sourcing, initiates requisition for production improvement and materials.
(b) Identify and formulates systems and procedures for specific process to a company wide scope of implementation.
(c) Reviews/updates and modifies MEIs as needed (special processes) through ensuring its accuracy and correct manufacturing procedures.
(d) Supports and analyzes NPD processes during pilot runs and during mass productions. Aid in verification and analysis of solutions of manufacturing issues and cascade learning WW. Monitors ECO implementations (Engineering Change Order) for design, process and parts confirmation affecting processes.
(e) Conducts trainings and certifications to subordinates regarding process familiarization and other issues, in coordination with L&D group.
(f) Coordinates with facilities supervisor on improvements and new process implementation. Monitors analysis and failure across facilities and assists action teams to formulate effective corrective actions/solutions to improve productivity and line efficiency.Reviews, develops and maintains Manufacturing process/line. Aid Manufacturing Identify and resolves process related defects to reduce DPUs
(g) Coordinates with WW Product engineers, AI Engineers, Test Engineers, QC, and CI Leaders on issues related to to manufacturing processes. Initiates and participates in product/material, labor and overhead cost reductions and/or improvements
(h) Initiates and Implements WW changes in existing process to reduce costs and improve production flow. Reviews PCB Design Standards for Manufacturability and update database for WW Design Teams.
(i) Observe quality and safety standards in the execution of duties and responsibilities (j) Support the health, safety and environmental programs and initiatives of the Company. Leads local facility on incoming RoHS activities.
Desired profile
EDUCATION - MINIMUM LEVEL
- Graduate of any Engineering Course (ME, IE, EE, ECE)
EXPERIENCE - MINIMUM REQUIRED
- With at least 3 years of working experience in related function from a high volume electronics manufacturing environment related to PCBA Processes
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED - 1
- Acquired working knowledge on designing and improving manufacturing processes, yield and productivity improvements and cost reduction;
- Preferably with experience in design, process, test or product engineering;
- Background in SPC, Time & Motion Study and Six Sigma is an advantage;
- Good analytical skills;
- Good communication skills;
- Good leadership skills.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED 2 - DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL Knowledge in PCB Design for manufacturability is a plus.
