SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for effective supervision, management quality assurance and all departmental functions related to applications engineering, installation, subcontracting and other functions necessary to complete commitments for project execution. This leader will support strategic initiatives to drive efficiencies and strategic offerings within the organization to grow the business.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Contributes to divisional and departmental strategic planning
· Interview, hire, train, mentor, evaluate, and when necessary, terminate personnel
· Responsible for the administration of company policies including safety, quality, customer satisfaction and finances. Implement branch strategy, mitigate risk, contract review, pre-bids, project reviews and development of staff.
· Proactively manage construction conflict resolution in the contracting chain.
· Develop productive relationships with consulting engineers, contractors, owners, architects, suppliers, and trade personnel
· Plan effectively by forecasting the need for equipment, materials, personnel, revenue, and job costs for all phases of operations
· Maintain control of all inventory by enforcing procedures and by providing final approvals on all orders for material
· Assist in the development of departmental budgets
· Manage revenue, expenses and cash management for operations department or division
· Signature level authority as indicated by the Authorization Level Document.
· Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION:
· Four (4) year college degree required or equivalent work experience
EXPERIENCE:
· Ten years related work experience required
· Three years supervisory experience required
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Advanced understanding project execution of HVAC, Security or other microprocessor based automation systems
· Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, Word, Access and Excel
· Product knowledge and outside vendor hardware knowledge required
· Strong knowledge of contracting procedures and tactics relative to such areas as project correspondence, documentation, timely notice of claims, subcontract negotiation and subcontract administration
· Clear understanding of Revenue, Cost, Gross Margin and Cash Management
· Excellent customer service skills
· Excellent leadership skills
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
