For our international team in Latin America (Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Mexico) we are looking for enthusiastic professional for the position: MES [Manufacturing Execution System] Application Engineer
Main responsibilities:
Application Engineer with 1-3 years of experience, focused in deploying Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Mobility ( IntelaTrac) solutions;
Provides technical expertise during installation, implementation and maintenance phases of software projects;
Reviews and approves requirements specifications , functional design documentation, and testing and implementation procedures;
Strong knowledge of applications software deployment and installation projects;
Performs installation, commissioning and start-up of software products;
Identifies “out of scope” situations that require re-contracting or additional resources to meet customer needs, deliverables, and deadlines, working with Project manager or Service Leader to address them.
Attends site surveys and provides reports that enable accurate service or project quotes.
Applies Process Industries technical knowledge in software projects;
Works with basic and detailed design documentation from customer;
Prepares design documents, as functional design specification and design manuals of process applications;
Provides Customer training;
Develops software and completes all necessary documentation to meet requirements of the application specifications;
Participates in technical meetings with the client to define the modeling technical scope;
Participates in customer site installation, implementation and acceptance tests;
Works on problems of moderate to complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors;
Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action;
Develops professional expertise and proficiency with tools, systems and procedures required to accomplish the job;
Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
Desired profile
· Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Information Technology or related fields.
· Previous knowledge of Schneider-Electric / Invensys Wonderware and Intelatrack line of products will be a differentiator.
· Mining, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas or Oil Refining industry projects experience is an asset.
· Experience with Industrial Software Automation projects is preferable.
· Knowledge of PMI/PMBOK
· Working knowledge of the cultures and labor environments in the Latin American countries where we do business.
· Proficiency in written/spoken English and Spanish, Portuguese is an asset.
