Schneider Electric USA, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of equipment for electrical distribution, industrial control, and automation. We have the following position available in Smyrna, TN:

Mechanical Engineer: S/he is responsible for planning and executing R&D projects for Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear and control-gear products which are related to the Schneider Electric product portfolio. 10% travel to test products at external labs. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field and three years of experience in evaluating risk and reliability of electrical and mechanical designs. Also must have work experience with: 2 years utilizing Robust Designing methodologies: Six sigma tools and methods; 3 years utilizing tolerance stackup using Tolerance manager; 3 years utilizing structural analysis with PRo Mechanica; 3 years utilizing 3D and 2D designing with Pro-Engineer/CREO; 2 years utilizing Phoenix tool for CQCS and CQCP creation; 2 years utilizing MV switchgear products including PREMSET, MasterClad, MasterClad Arc Resistant, HVL/cb, HVL, HVL/cc, Motorpact, Evolis circuit breakers, and VR circuit breakers; and 2 years utilizing MV switchgear including UL, IEC, and IEEE/ANSI product standards.
