What do you get to do in this position?

Responsible for the adequate handling of production materials within facility. Ensures adequate stock and timely supply of materials to the production lines or working areas and oversees the proper control of inventories. This position is accountable for applying lean concepts for the overall control and movement of materials in and out of the location. Administers production scheduling, inventory control, warehousing, customer service, traffic and/or shipping. Serves as a liaison among various departments to provide efficient customer service, inventory management and resolve difficulties.

1. Executes locations overall Inventory levels in compliance with space availability, production output, order requirements, and business plans.

2. Coordinates the functions of production and materials while managing inventory levels. Serves as a liaison among various departments to provide efficient customer service and resolves difficulties.

3. Maintains methods and policies to ensure the most efficient and economical movement of materials. Works directly with the suppliers, purchasing and production to make sure material lot sizes, lead times, and packaging fits into the plant Material Providing and Handling plan.

4. Analyzes and evaluates problems with inventory, delivery, and/or sales orders. Recommends solutions. Provides periodic reports to management.

5. Implements improvement projects in the areas of inventory control, cycle count procedures and Kanban.

6. Administers systems to minimize raw material inventories while reducing purchasing cost and maximizing customer service.

7. Manages MRP/ROP on a daily basis to make sure adequate supply of material is available for production.

8. Applies lean manufacturing principles to direct Material Providing and Handling activities as outlined within the Schneider Production System.

9. Maintains plant Healthy inventory to drive lead times down and increase cash flow. Works to dispose of unhealthy inventory in a timely manner.

10. Develops strategies to meet SPS objectives.

11. Produces and/or ensures the production of ad hoc reports which further the business mission. Assists in resolution of user inquiries related to manufacturing systems.

12. Implements improvement projects in the areas of warehouse management, material flow, kanban accuracy, inventory control, physical inventory procedures and facility information management.

13. SAP key user for the area(s) of Supply Chain Management (SCM).

14. Ensures resources are best utilized to achieve both short- and long-term goals.

15. Accountable for evaluating and maintaining SAP, Kanban and manufacturing systems so as to effectively manage and control inventory levels.

16. Participate in plants Short Interval Management (SIM) process.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

This job might be for you if:
·  Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Management.
·  Inventory control process knowledge desirable. SAP, KANBAN, MRP, OFO, etc.
·  Functional knowledge of Material Management Computer System - MRP.
·  Strong analytical, numerical, math, statistics skills.
·  Proficient computer skills including full suite of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
·  Ability to change with a dynamic workload: From heavy multi-tasking during peak workloads - to very focused, detail oriented work during critical projects.
·  Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills are required.
