Job description
Job Title: LV Switchgear Design Engineer

Reporting To : Engineering Activity Manager
Typical duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Perform various engineering tasks involving such functions as analysis, design, while working from instructions, drawings, proposals, specifications, and other pertinent information.
· Review and analyze a variety of engineering data, documents and reports.
· Prepare design models for the new project using available design tools and programming, work with sales team, project management, and customers.
· Participate in the investigation of technical problems and the establishment of procedures and corrective actions to avoid recurrences.
· Assist in the preparation of necessary design instructions for mechanical design and electrical draughtman.
· Prepare Bill of Material for Switchgear Assemblies using available tools.
· Prepare shop drawings and other related documents for Production.
· Actively engage in sorting out the issues if any at the production floor and at site.
· Prepare replies to customer comments on technical submittals in coordination with project management.
· Attend meeting with customers/contractors/ consultants for technical discussions.
· Prepare design calculations including DC Load, power consumption & heat dissipation data calculations.
Desired profile
· Graduate in Electrical engineering or equivalent.
· Experience in design of Low voltage switchgear.
· Hands on experience of Auto CAD.
· Knowledge of relevant IEC codes and standards.
· Good planning and organization skills.
· Team player
· Strong willingness to share knowledge and/or experience ability to listen and be open to other ideas.
· Ability so show a proactive attitude.
· Offers advice and proposes solutions when risks/ opportunities arise.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
