Schneider Electric has an opportunity for the role of Legal Counsel in our West Kingston, RI or Foxboro, MA location. The Legal Counsel will provide strategic legal support, design needs and advice in the area of General Commercial, Contract and Transactional law to business units within North America.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for identifying and analyzing legal issues, drafting key documents, presenting clear recommendations, and assuring legal compliance.
2. Keep up to date with a variety of the field"s concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
3. Perform a variety of legal tasks; including, contract drafting and review, developing and advising on risk mitigation strategy.
4. Manage outside counsel to support role as managing attorney for various internal business teams.
5. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
The position location is flexible to either West Kingston, RI or Foxboro, MA , and will report to the Assistant General Counsel in Schneider Electric"s West Kingston, RI office. The position supports the North American Business Units of Schneider Electric. The role anticipates less than 10% travel outside of the New England area but more frequent travel between the West Kingston and Foxboro office is anticipated. A JD and admission to a the Bar within a US jurisdiction is required and 1-3 years experience is recommended.
