What do you get to do in this position?

The incumbent is responsible for providing “Indirect Material” Procurement and purchasing support to the Canadian business. Working with the peer Buyers in the Group, the Junior Indirect Buyer is responsible for the following:

· Responsible for purchase ordering flow to ensure the deliveries meet the internal customer's requirements.
· Process all request for purchases via SRM/ SAP within 48 hours.
· Source and order Indirect supplies based on the category strategy for Canada
· Coordinate Material Receipts with the receivers and the Admins.
· Resolve Invoice issues and coordinate with Accounts Payable.
· Proactively monitor and resolve potential material misses, track, expedite and micro-manage critical orders.
· Responsible for maintaining information about Suppliers to ensure integrity of system data such as price, lead-time, delivery dates and addresses and provides necessary information to other buyers as needed.
· Raise Corrective actions for defects from Suppliers and work on resolution.
· Work with Suppliers and Contractors on tough situations to resolve issues.
· Use Purchasing Tools to analyze, evaluate supplier performance KPI's & work with suppliers for Improvements as necessary
· Maintain and enhance the operational relations with suppliers and contribute to the competitiveness of business by optimizing purchases within the respective entity.
· Drive Supplier consolidation based on the category strategy and directions.
· Support the deployment of corporate category strategies and contribute to Productivity saving and Rebalancing initiatives.
· Participate in supplier selection and qualification; negotiate and manage contracts with local/specific suppliers (price, quantity, quality, logistics, Lead time, Service Level… etc.).

Qualifications :

This job might be for you if:

·  University or college degree – Business Administration or similar
·  Procurement experience, preferably in purchasing of electrical equipment and the corresponding services would be an asset
·  Strong analytical skills
·  Strong presentation and problem solving skills
·  Ability to work independently, flexible, good time management, organizational, good team work and interpersonal skills.
·  Customer centric, Passionate about cost optimization
·  Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
·  Bilingual; French & English would be an asset
