Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our team as a Service Engineer .

Mission:

Supporting customers of the Energy Application Centre and the MV Equipment Centre for products and solutions incorporating RTU's and Protection Relays. Responsible for providing post-sales telephone technical support and technical support at UK customer locations to identify and resolve technical issues.

Identify new opportunities whilst attending customer's site, and promote Schneider capabilities.

Key responsibilities / activities:

· Ensure a high degree of collaboration and teamwork is established with technical engineers at the Energy Application Centre, the MV Equipment Centre, and all other stakeholders.

· Establish excellence in our on-site Service Delivery and fault resolution including the promotion of company products and services.

· Establish excellence in our Telephone Technical Support, probing methods, customer advice, and fault resolution.

· Periodically attend and prepare & deliver training to both internal & external customers.

· Ensure all works are undertaken in accordance with Schneider Electric company guidelines.

· Complete all necessary administration functions in a timely manner associated with the position including Field Service Reports, Time Sheets, expenses and customer reports.

· Identify, assess and minimise the exposure of the business Unit.

· Compliance to customer specifications and documentation / Validation of our technical solution and value engineering.

· Maintenance of internal & external customer communications associated with the job. This will include updating as required (written & verbal) with regard to on-going problems & projects.

Desired profile

Minimum Degree in relevant engineering discipline

Experience in an appropriate engineering environment
